MME Symposia

Interdisciplinary Excellence Built On World-Class Knowledge

picture: Tomás Díaz De La Rubia.

Tomás Díaz De La Rubia's March 20th, 2008 presentation: “Energy, Climate and Materials Science: Grand Challenges for the 21st Century” aired on KWSU TV (Channel 10) on Oct. 23rd and Oct. 26th.

2008-2009 Series

Each semester the school sponsors a symposia speaker series inviting both on campus and outside speakers to present current research activities to the faculty and students in the school and university. The symposia are open to all and are announced each week to the campus. The graduate student seminar class attends the series and many students also make presentations to the school as part of the series. The school also invites distinguished alumni to make presentations as part of the symposia series.

Refresments are normally available a half hour before the seminar in Sloan 243.
