Cougar Quest
In summer 2008 I organized workshops on Advanced Marine Vehicles for middle- and high-school students. This activity was a
part of Cougar Quest summer camp at Washington State University. In my workshops students learnt about cutting-edge marine
technologies, such as low-drag Air Cavity Ships, super-fast Wing-In-Ground, and amphibious Power Augmented Ram Vehicles.
During 4-day activities students built self-propelled hovercraft kits, studied how to conduct
engineering measurements of AMV, and competed for the best operational performance.
Participants also had an opportunity to drive a radio-controlled PARV model.
